Advances in the Management of Dentin Hypersensitivity: An Updated Review

Background: Objective: The objective of this narrative review is to present an overview dentin hypersensitivity and the prevalence, etiology, mechanism, diagnosis, clinical management. Methods: Available articles (research, reviews, commentary, views, or editorial) on were searched reviewed from January 1990 till March 2021 in Pubmed, Scopus, Google Scholar, Science Direct. Relevant studies English included critically analyzed article. Results: Dentin causes severe pain. most effective least invasive remedy using desensitizing toothpaste. In addition, based severity, management can be done professionally in-office through self-applied at-home treatments. Conclusion: Although pain, it treated a proper remedy. Correct diagnosis helps dentine hypersensitivity. Management dentinal should with more conservative strategies first, followed by irreversible dental interventions.
